Nationals – Sheffield 2018

Sheffield lived up to its usual excitement with many British, European and World records broken. Gloucester Masters contributed their fair share to the haul of records and medals!

Records

Don Leatherbarrow, swimming in the 80-84 year age group, added another 5 GB records to his tally. He has now broken over 20 GB records this year–an amazing achievement.
Our 280+ mixed relay team of Jayne Ball, Don Leatherbarrow, Tony Cherrington and Sue Hodge set a new European record time of 2:14.32 for the 4x50m freestyle relay, adding to their European record in the 4x100mwhich they broke earlier this year in Plymouth.

Medals

Don Leatherbarrow 7 gold;  Tony Cherrington 4 gold, 1 silver;
Sue Hodge 1 gold;  Jayne Ball 2 silver, 2 bronze.

Total: 13 Gold, 3 Silver, 2 Bronze
